Description

Le Foyer Rémois is a builder, developer, housing provider, promoter and partner to businesses and local communities. It is a player in the social economy, serving the development of local communities around the Rémois area and in Seine-et-Marne. With over 100 years of experience, Le Foyer Rémois makes service a priority. As a customer-focused company, it takes into account the impact of its actions, developing them with creativity and innovation. Le Foyer Rémois is the historic social landlord for the city of Reims, and today manages a portfolio of more than 22,600 homes and has more than 35,000 customers.

Born at the end of World War I, the landlords' organisation was endowed with a well-founded and deeply humanist will. In 1912, Georges Charbonneaux founded the limited company with low-cost housing, Le Foyer Rémois. At the time, housing was a real problem, like all major French cities, that Reims benefited from the growth of industrialisation and saw its population triple in a century. Georges Charbonneaux marked the city with his stamp and set about building an exemplary neighbourhood, the garden city of the Chemin Vert, its task being to provide housing for all. A century and many achievements later, the goal has not changed.
