Description
The regional association of garden cities of Ile-de-France is an association law 1901 created on October 14, 2015 at the Museum of Urban and Social History (MUS) of the city of Suresnes. Since 2009, a network of garden cities in Ile-de-France has been set up with the aim of preserving, enhancing and promoting this heritage common to several communities and territories in the Ile-de-France region.
Together, these garden cities tell a story: that of the first social housing construction campaign by the Public Offices, that of land-use planning on the scale of the Paris region and more broadly that of working-class housing since its pioneering phase in the 1910s until the 1950s which will therefore favor the construction of large complexes.
