Description

The Coöperatieve Woningbouwvereniging Tuinstadwijk Daal en Berg, or "Daal en Berg" for short, was founded in 1917 and manages and operates the National Monument around the Papaverhof in The Hague.

The complex consists of 128 low-rise and high-rise houses, designed by architect Jan Wils and completed in 1921. The high-rise houses are rented out, while the low-rise houses are partly sold to members of the association and partly for rent.

Daal and Berg is a cooperative association. The members (the residents) are shareholders of the cooperative and jointly take decisions around operation and maintenance of the monument. Our common goal is to offer our residents affordable living in our beautiful complex and preserve the monument for future generations.
