Description

The Dudok Architecture Centre (DAC) is the centre for architecture, urbanism and spatial heritage in Hilversum. DAC is an independent foundation that hopes to inspire thinking about spatial quality. The centre organises guided tours of the Town Hall, excursions in the city, and debates, lectures and events. DAC is located in the Town Hall in Hilversum, the culmination of the oeuvre of architect W. M. Dudok.

The mission of DAC is to increase public interest and appreciation for architecture and spatial heritage in Hilversum, in addition to the social and cultural significance of these things. Dudok serves as a source of inspiration in this respect, and helps to position current issues in a historical perspective. DAC recognises that Dudok’s approach to architecture is still relevant. The topics raised by Dudok are not only important to today’s designers but also to everyone involved in the creation of a high-quality living environment.
