Description
Founded in 2008 leading to the 100th anniversary of Hellerau the European Garden City Network aims to offer garden city residents and associations as well as all those entrusted with the administration, preservation and development of garden cities and those interested in communicating the garden city idea the opportunity for international contact and exchange.
From eight founding members the network has grown to 21 garden cities (in 2024) which are mainly located in German-speaking countries, but also include garden cities from the UK, Poland and Hungary.
The European Garden City Network is currently administrated by the Residents Organization of Hellerau.
