made.in.betondorp is a social and cultural initiative located in the old school building at Onderlangs in Betondorp. Together with other involved residents, made.in.betondorp devises and realises local projects with the aim of connecting through art and culture to make life 'a bit more fun'. Together, we also aim to increase appreciation for the cultural value of Betondorp, especially its special architecture and its historical and cultural importance.

Despite the fact that Betondorp should be a 'high brow' attraction, this neighbourhood is at the very bottom of the list of cultural offerings in the city of Amsterdam. Therefore, we want to profile ourselves as an initiator of high-profile cultural and social initiatives to put Betondorp positively on the map and show that Betondorp deserves more credit than just being associated with Gerard Reve or Johan Cruijff.
